A Quick Bio

I've always known two things: first, I love everything tropical. My art school roommate used to joke that I could make any place look like Hawai'i. Second, I like to make art. My grandfather was an illustrator, my mother studied art therapy, and I was one of those lucky kids who grew up with parents who encouraged art-making.

After moving around for most of my life (which helped develop a sense of what makes a place special), I studied illustration (B.F.A. from SCAD) and painting (M.F.A. from the University of Sydney). To give a quick bit of background, I've gone to exhibit work in the U.S., Caribbean, France, and Australia, and enjoy everything from children's book illustration to editorial work, wedding stationery to surface design. I currently live in sunny Florida and often spend time visiting family and friends in the Dominican Republic, my second "home at heart". I live with my lovely husband and two kids who inspire me every day to get out, explore, and be creative.
